La Carte Pass CE

Redesigning desire, not just usability — restructuring a works-council ticketing app around the user's emotional states rather than a catalogue.

01 Context

La Carte Pass CE gives employees access to cultural and leisure benefits through their company's works council. The product worked — but it felt cold, closer to an HR intranet than a discovery app. Users had hundreds of attractive offers (shows, parks, cinemas, travel) yet the journey created no desire: they browsed, they didn't want.

The approach — emotional journey before functional journey. Most B2C apps in this category think « catalogue + search engine ». I structured the experience around the user's emotional states instead.

Key decisions. A stable bottom nav giving direct access to the four usage modes (discovery, search, my tickets, profile) to shorten the path to any emotional state. Product page: full-screen hero visual, price and CTA visible without scroll, details in an accordion to avoid overload. One-page checkout with a visual summary — no redirect, no loss of context.
